Renewal SA Works Program: Rubble & Roll Live Site Training

The Renewal SA Works Program is seeking applications from motivated and committed people living in Adelaide’s western suburbs to participate in the Rubble and Roll Live Site Training program. Applicants should be keen to work outdoors and have a reasonable level of fitness.

About the program

Rubble and Roll Live Site Training program participants will benefit the experience of working on a live training site and will construct a temporary rubble car park and drainage as part of the Bowden redevelopment project.

Program graduates will receive:

  • a Certificate II in Civil Construction [RII20715]
  • tickets and/or qualifications in:
    • Conduct civil construction skid steer loader operations [RIIMPO318E]
    • Operate elevating work platform [RIIHAN301D]
    • Enter and work in confined spaces [RIIWHS202D]
    • White Card – Work Safely in the Construction Industry [CPCCOHS1001A]
  • work experience and job opportunities.

What you’ll need to supply

Program participants are required to supply their own long pants and steel capped boots as part of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.

Where and when

The training program starts on Monday, 20 February and runs for 12 weeks.

Participants will be required to attend training at Adelaide Training & Employment Centre (ATEC), 275 Grand Junction Road, Ottoway, and at Second Street, Bowden, 8.00am – 4.30pm, Mondays – Thursdays.

Cost

The program is subsidised through the WorkReady Jobs First STL Projects 2016–2017. Eligibility criteria apply.

How to apply

Participants will only be selected for the program after attending the information session.

When: 10.00am – 12.30pm, Monday, 6 February 2017
Where: Plant 1, Fifth Street, Bowden (opposite Jarmer’s Kitchen)
